Any Kristen who has interacted with small children will undoubtedly have a handful of hilarious "nicknames" given to her by little people. This Kristen was first dubbed Chicken by her then-toddler nephew Alex. When Tanya came along a few years later, the family decided that she, too, needed a poultry nickname...and Turkey was it!
The boys still call us Chicken and Turkey, though they're more than capable of pronouncing our "real" names at this point. On the off-chance that we hear them utter Kristen or Tanya, we are quick to correct!
